John Kish (He/Him) Producer


Circle in the Square alum 2013, NYC, NY. John was last seen on stage as Jonathan in Tick, Tick…Boom!, Hedwig, in Hedwig and the Angry Inch and around town as his drag persona, Fertile Liza. Other highlights include Paul in Chorus Line, Henry in Next to Normal, Fabrizio in Light in the Piazza, and Tom in The Glass Menagerie. Directing credits include Spring Awakening ‘17, Peter & The Star Catcher ‘18, The Old Man & The Old Moon ‘23, and Little Shop of Horrors ‘23. He is the founder and visionary of The Greenhouse Cabaret and is excited to keep seeing the theater grow as Bend’s first professional theater space. His goal to pay the cast and crew while growing the performing arts opportunities in Bend has been a 10-year goal in the making. He’s excited for the performing arts community to keep growing in talents and diversity and believes that art is the needed backbone of any city. “If you want to get involved, please reach out! “ He would love to keep growing the creative crew and offerings at The Greenhouse so he can simultaneously get back to enjoying time snuggling his Berner, Hygge, and husband Matt, WAMH




Richard Choate (He/Him) Director

Richard Choate has been acting, directing, producing and playwriting for over 50 years. He most recently directed Fiddler on the Roof at Cascades Theatrical Company. It was while playing Nostradamus in Something Rotten that he met the three actresses appearing in this production. Not slowing down any time soon, Richard completed his MFA in Creative Writing during the pandemic and is working on a genre-fiction novel, short stories, and a play. He moved to Central Oregon at the end of 2015 and has been active in theater here ever since.





Suzie Hughes (she/her) Stage Manager/Props


Suzie moved to Bend from the San Francisco Bay Area where she was a stage manager in community theater for over 15 years.  Here in Bend, she has worked with Shore Thing Productions, BEAT Children’s Theatre, Central Oregon Symphony, Mejaski Productions, Cascades Theatrical Company and Ellipse Theatre Community.  She is very excited to join the team here at Greenhouse Cabaret. Dora Novak - Costume Design 

Dora Novak grew up in Iowa and recently moved from a 10-year career in New York, NY, to Bend. She is thrilled to be designing for The Greenhouse Cabaret and this truly amazing cast and theater. She started her love for design and dance with Iowa Dance Theater as a child and continues to serve on their board and work as an artistic director, choreographer, and stage manager. She attended SUNY Purchase Dance Conservatory with a Composition Concentration and a minor in design construction. Dora has been designing and constructing costumes in NYC and LA for over a decade. Dora continues her work as an artist by costuming and designing dance, film, and TV, and joined IATSE in New York, Iowa and Oregon. Most notably she's worked at The Metropolitan Opera,  films The Irishman, West Side Story, and TV shows The Gilded Age.






Wendy Short (she/her) Assistant Stage Manager    

Wendy is excited to be joining such a talented cast and crew for this non-stop barrel of laughs. This is her first time working with Greenhouse Cabaret, having previously served Cascades Theatrical Company as stage manager for Murder on the Orient Express, The Importance of Being Earnest and Spider’s Web and as crew in Fiddler on the Roof, Something Rotten, She Loves Me, and Kiss of the Spider Woman. Special thanks to the incredibly talented cast for their patience and grace as we tackled this crazy endeavor together.









Brooklyn Wagner - Communications

Brooklyn Wagner (she/her) moved to Bend in 2011 and lived a thousand lives in our community since then! But one of her greatest passions and inspirations is getting to take any project from a spark of an idea to its finish line. Her experience in theater and acting has ranged from backstage crew to comedic relief to leading lady, and with her immense love for Somewhere That’s Green and The Greenhouse Cabaret, she’s excited to help see tick, tick…BOOM! come to life on this special stage.
